What a real estate agent does that an owner can't do alone

Today anyone can list an apartment themselves. So why work with an agent at all? The honest answer: it is not for everyone, but when it works, you feel the difference.

Pricing based on the market

An agent who works in the area knows real transactions, not just asking prices. The right price is the decision that most affects both the final price and the time it takes.

Screening buyers and tenants

Not everyone who calls is serious. An agent checks ability, need and timing before a viewing, saving you unnecessary visits and strangers coming into your home for no reason.

Negotiation without emotions

It is hard to negotiate over your own home. An agent manages the conversation objectively, knows when to hold firm and when to be flexible, and keeps the deal alive.

Documents, coordination and patience

Registry extracts, lawyers, appraisers, mortgages and deadlines. An agent pulls all the threads together so that nothing falls through the cracks until signing.

What the law says about brokerage fees

Under Israel's Real Estate Brokers Law, a broker is entitled to a fee only if they hold a valid license and the client has signed a written order. Always check that the broker is licensed and read the order before signing. Ronit Savir is a licensed agent, license 31033926.
